I was thinking a bit more on my favorite songs of 2007 and this was one of them. The song on it's own isn't anything special, but I love the picturization with Rani and Konkona Sen as the world's tiniest sisters. At least when Rani acts with Konkona, she doesn't have to wear the mega heels she straps on later for a hilarious song with Abhi in Switzerland in which she appears to be one piece of strudel away from teetering over head first.
In short, the cute picturization and lyrics make this one of my favorite songs of 2007 - even if it wasn't one of the best songs of 2007.
Okay, so from time to time I write essays to amuse myself. This is written for a non-Bollywood knowing audience, trying to explain the awesomeness of Helen. I'd appreciate any comments!

It’s a go-go party! The lights dim and a single dancer, clad in a glittery blue tube top and matching mini-skirt, emerges from the crowd. Or maybe we’re at the big crime boss’s hideout. Our heroine is singing a lament while getting whipped by a lackey in a skin-tight bondage suit. As she wails, the camera cuts to a giant gold bathtub filled with suds, scene dressing to emphasize how decadent this particular crime boss is. Who is the woman, dressed in a sequined gold bikini and blond wig, pantomiming the heroine’s distress and clearly enjoying it?
( blah blah Helen blah )
