I was a little hesitant to check out Maou. Not because I was in love with the original Korean Mawang, like dangermousie, but because when I think "Ohno" I think this:

Also, dangermousie, I figured out where I knew that kid from Mukodono from - he's Arashi's Aiba! (What? I like Arashi.)

So, you can understand that icy, cold lawyer + Arashi's Ohno = major short circuit in my brain. That said, I just couldn't stay away....( screecaps and ramblings about episode 1 under here... )

It's funny watching Maou along with Iljimae considering the leads' revenge-driven lives. My sympathies lie with the secondary male leads in both, despite the mistakes they've made. Perhaps because in both cases, they have taken some responsibility for attoning for the mistakes instead of taking revenge and making life more miserable for everyone.

I'm definitely going to be watching more Maou!
