Happy Mother's Day from my favorite Filmi Ma - Kirron Kher - singing and dancing her heart out in Devdas!

Being ill yesterday, and unable to do anything other than sit in bed, I took the opportunity to watch Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas. The story is a tragedy, but not the tragedy I was expecting. I want to see the 1955 version to compare the stories.



( Devdas, Devdas, blah, blah, etc. )

I just got back from my job interview!! (Yay?) So, to celebrate, beautiful ladies doing beautiful choreography from Devdas. This song brings to mind some of the classic Helen/Cuckoo numbers from the 1950s. They were less lavish, of course, not being filmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, but the energy is the same. I love female duet numbers, and we see too few these days.
